Why Did I Decide To Start Co-Hosting the MNDFCK Podcast?
How, in the midst of chaos, can we live our safest, sanest, most consensual and sustainable lives?
Starting on December 11, 2018, at 6 PM, I’ll be co-hosting — alongside a world traveled sex worker and college lecturer — MNDFCK. Direct from The Line Hotel’s Full Service Radio studio in Washington, DC, MNDFCK is a weekly broadcast aimed at discovering how, in the midst of chaos, to live our safest, sanest, most consensual and sustainable lives — but there will be decency defined by protocol every step of the way. How I came to this decision is a whole other story unto itself.
“You can always go home again,” I told myself, as mentally and physically exhausted to my bone marrow, I stared deep, long, and hard into my pupils in the mirror on the occasion of my 40th birthday. Later that weekend, after celebrating the event and finally having some time to lay down in my bed and adjust to the slight creaks and pains of my age, I watched Fried Green Tomatoes, the film released in 1991.
