I’m an African-American fan of English soccer, Manchester United, and the English Premier League. My life, at-present, is incredibly bizarre, growing astoundingly more awkward by the second. In just under a month, said life could be rendered geo-politically obsolete. But, when that happens, the sun will rise again on the British Empire. What that means for the rest of the world is something entirely worthy of our time and consideration.

If England wins the World Cup, English World Cup team striker Harry Kane could be the de facto King of England. As well, the recently wed Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, and quite possibly soon-to-be Brexited English Prime Minister Theresa May are also causing quite the global media stir. Intriguingly enough, it’s entirely possible to state there’s likely half of the world’s entire population that’s caring about the English royal family, English politics, and English sports again in a manner that likely hasn’t been seen in the world in a century. However, couple that with a few other key international sociopolitical occurrences, and there’s the potential development of a pop cultural de-evolution afoot that could end up with the world experiencing what life…
