There was once a time where music journalists were passionate-to-maniacal word-slingers who, by virtue of lacking conventional writing backgrounds…college degrees in journalism and/or an established standard to which they were beholden were gifted with a near-omniscient ability to keep the culture and sound vital…they were truly free to boil down this rock and roll, this creative force thing, by an equally brazen and refreshing standard of measure, to its nasty, honest essence.
